What exactly is far-infrared heat, and how is it different from a traditional hot-yoga heater?Far-infrared (FIR) panels emit a gentle radiant energy that warms the body directly, much like standing in a patch of sunlight, rather than blasting hot air into the room. You’ll feel comfortably warm without the stuffy, humid “sauna” effect typical of conventional heaters.
-
What health or performance benefits can I expect from practicing in an infrared-heated room?Students often report deeper muscle relaxation, faster recovery, improved circulation, enhanced calorie burn, and that coveted post-class glow. FIR warmth may also support detoxification by encouraging a richer, more cleansing sweat.
-
Is infrared heat safe for beginners, prenatal clients, or people with medical conditions? For most healthy adults, yes. The heat is milder and more tolerable than traditional hot-yoga temperatures. If you’re pregnant, recovering from surgery, or managing a specific condition, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider first and letting us know so we can suggest the safest class option - or try one of our non-heated classes.
-
How warm does the studio get, and how should I prepare or hydrate before class? We keep the room between 30–33 °C (86–92 °F), warm enough for therapeutic benefits, but never overwhelming. Arrive well-hydrated, bring a large water bottle, and consider adding electrolytes if you sweat heavily. A light snack 60–90 minutes beforehand is plenty.
-
Can infrared heat really support detox or weight-management goals, and how often should I attend to notice results?Regular practice (2-3 infrared classes per week) can complement a balanced lifestyle by boosting circulation, encouraging calorie burn, and promoting a healthier sweat response. Consistency, paired with nourishing food and recovery, will deliver the best long-term benefits.
